Due to the increasing heat wave in Uttar Pradesh, the timing of schools has been changed in many districts. The district administration has taken this step keeping in mind the safety of the students. Now schools in most of the districts will be operated in the morning hours to protect the children from the scorching heat of the afternoon.
All schools from classes 1 to 8 in Agra district will be operated from 7 am to 12 noon. Schools in Pratapgarh and Amethi districts will be operated from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm. An order in this regard has been issued by District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar and Superintendent of Police Siddharth Bahuguna.
An official letter has been issued by the Basic Shiksha Adhikari in Unnao district. It has been informed that instructions have been given to change the timings of the schools under the letter number Shivini (Basic) / Planning / 1614-1708/2025 -26, dated 21 April 2025 of the Director of Education (Basic) Uttar Pradesh Lucknow. According to this, all government, aided and recognised board schools will be operated from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm from April 22, 2025.
Also, keeping in mind the threat of heat wave, the National Disaster Management Authority has directed that outdoor physical activities of children be completely stopped in all schools. The decision has been taken to protect the students from the scorching sun and hot winds.
