Circular Released for CBSE Pre-Subroto Cup Football Tournament 2025
CBSE News Desk – The CBSE Board has issued an important circular informing about the organisation and participation of the Pre-Subroto Cup Football Tournament 2025 for schools. This circular, Circular No.Acad- 19/2025 dated 28.04.2025, has been issued by Himanshu Gupta, IAS, Secretary, CBSE.
Every year, ‘Subroto Mukherjee Sports Education Society’ organizes Subroto Cup Football Tournament under the aegis of Air Force Sports Control Board. The winning school teams from the States and Union Territories participate in this competition.
This year too, CBSE teams will be participating in this prestigious tournament. CBSE will organise the first ‘Pre-Subroto Cup Football Tournament 2025’ in which teams in the age groups of Girls (U-17), Boys (U-15), and Boys (U-17) will participate.
The winners of the Subroto Cup tournament will participate in the Subroto Cup at the national level. All the interested schools will have to follow some important instructions. Each team will have to submit a registration fee of Rs 2,000 online on the Subroto Sports Control Board website www.subrotocup.in. Also, Rs 500 per person per day will have to be paid to the organising school for the stay and food of the players.
Schools who want to organise this tournament can apply here by May 1, 2025. The duration of the event will be between May 10, 2025, and June 10, 2025. The organising schools will be given a sports grant of Rs 2 lakh at the regional level and Rs 3 lakh at the national level.
CBSE Schools who want to participate in the Subroto Cup will have to register their teams under the ‘CBSE’ category here. After registration, schools are also required to send a confirmation email to the school at the venue. Dates and locations will be announced soon.
