Instructions for the Conduct of CBSE Science Challenge 2025 – 26 – Round II

Science Challenge Round-2 exam will be held on 8 May

According to the circular issued by CBSE, the second round of CBSE Science Challenge 2025-26 will be held on 8 May 2025 from 11 am to 1 pm. Only those students will be able to participate in this examination, whose registration has been done for Round-2 by the school after the evaluation of Round-1.

CBSE Science Challenge 2025-26: Round 2 Guidelines (Simplified)

The CBSE Science Challenge round 2 exam link will be made live on the main website and academic portal of CBSE at the scheduled time.

Exam Date & Time: The second round of the CBSE Science Challenge will be held on 8th May 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Only students registered by their schools after Round 1 can take part.

Test Link Availability: The test link will be activated on the CBSE’s main and academic websites at the scheduled time.

School Login: Registered schools must log in using their LoC credentials (used during registration) to access the test.

Individual Participation: Each registered student must take the challenge individually.

Test Duration: The total time is 60 minutes, which includes downloading the paper, reading instructions, solving the quiz, and uploading answers.

No Extra Time: Once the test window closes, the portal will shut down automatically. No extra time will be given to upload responses.

Question Format: The test will have 40 questions, each carrying 1 mark. There is no negative marking.

Submit Immediately: Students must submit their answers right after completing the test — don’t wait!

Merit List Criteria: The final merit list will be based on two factors:

  • Correct answers
  • Minimum time taken to submit the complete test

Technical facilities required for the CBSE Science Challenge Exam 2

CBSE has also laid down some technical requirements for students appearing for the science challenge exam:

  • There should be a computer for every student.
  • There should be a high-speed internet facility of at least 50 MBPS.
  • A system with 8GB RAM and latest configuration is a must.
  • Computer should have the latest configuration
  • The exam can be run on any browser, but Google Chrome is preferred for a better experience.
